The Quebec Alliance for Psychedelic Medicines is a community bringing together the key stakeholders in the field of psychedelic medicines in Quebec: healthcare professionals, therapists, facilitators, patients, and users.
Our vision
We envision a future of a broader and simplified access to safe, ethical and legal use of psychedelics fully integrated with healthcare system and community pathways, collectively advancing the understanding and responsible use of psychedelic medicine through education, awareness and advocacy.

Derek brings over a decade of experience in substance use, mental health, and trauma-informed care to his role as Clinical Director. Rooted in harm reduction and mindfulness-based therapy, his work supports individuals and their families on their healing journey.

Derek brings over a decade of experience in substance use, mental health, and trauma-informed care to his role as Clinical Director. Rooted in harm reduction and mindfulness-based therapy, his work supports individuals and their families on their healing journey.
As his personal and professional understanding of non-ordinary states of consciousness deepened, Derek began supporting patients through the Special Access Program (SAP) in addressing issues of depression, end of life care and PTSD. His approach combines clinical expertise with grounded, compassionate care.
Derek leads with a focus on ethical, accessible, and research-informed psychedelic-assisted therapy. He remains deeply engaged in the evolving field and is committed to expanding safe, transformative access to these emerging treatments.

Émilie is an art therapist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, clinical counselor and Phd candidate in clinical psychology. She is also trained in psilocybin and MDMA assisted therapy for Health Canada’s special access program (SAP). Her approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in a somatic, humanistic, and creative visio

Julie is a seasoned pharmaceutical industry professional with over 10 years of experience in ethics, risk, and compliance. She has navigated the intricate world of big pharma, driving innovations in operations, medical education, and commercial strategies. Julie has been instrumental in making the impossible happen, from implementing systems, policies, and procedures at national and global levels to challenging the status quo with strategies like patient support programs to accelerate access while ensuring corporate responsibility.
In 2023, Julie shifted her focus to psychedelics, driven by a personal journey toward more integrated mental health and wellness. Convinced that healing can occur beyond the clinical setting, she boldly redefined her path by returning to school to major in Religious Studies with a minor in Ethics.
This transition led to the creation of the Quebec Alliance for Psychedelic Medicine, which advocates for simplified access in Quebec. As Ethics & Spiritual Advisor, she now leverages her deep understanding of pharmaceutical ethics and the transformative power of psychedelics to promote their safe and effective use in clinical, healing, and spiritual spaces.
